       Port Training Institute (PTI) of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport is organizing the 24th International Port Conference on:

International Trade and Port Logistics

(17- 19 Febrauary, 2008)

       No doubt that the dominance of free trade and liberation of trade in-services, has a direct effect on increasing world trade, which depend on Multimodal transport and maritime transport as its corner stone. Within this context emerged modern concepts of transport such as Integrated transport chain, Global physical distribution, Logistics management, where implementing it reveals the important role of modern port generations and Port logistics to Global trade. 

     Accordingly, Port Training Institute organizes its annual conference so as to introduce, discuss and review the distinguished research papers which illustrate and highlight the modern concepts, applications and developments of Port logistics, Multimodal transport and its role in enhancing Global trade.

Call for Abstracts

       Each abstract should not exceed (300) words and is to be sent via e-mail as soon as possible. Paper abstracts should demonstrate the paper objectives, results and conclusions. Approvals are based on receiving the full paper.

Call For Abstracts Critical Dates

Conference Language:

·Papers shall be presented in either English or Arabic.

·Simultaneous Interpretation will be provided during the Conference.

Conference Venue:

The Conference will be held in Hilton Green Plaza Hotel, Alexandria, Egypt.

Registration Fees (NON EGYPTIANS):

US$500  per participant.

Fees include attending conference sessions and exhibition, lunch and refreshments during the conference days besides attending the recepttion party on Saturday 8.00 PM. 16 Feb. 08

      These cover Conference attendance, Conference materials and proceedings, as well as lunch meals during the Conference.
